While you pick up materials for your kitchen cabinet, you just need to be extra careful on what you are picking up and how will you use them. You must do a bit of homework before you finally choose materials for your brand new kitchen. You should also think about the cleaning processes, price, sanitation, durability and maintenance of the materials you are about to use in a kitchen.

There are different types of backsplash material available in the market such as porcelain, glass, metal and marble. You must always think that you are fixing the material permanently with your wall, so you should r be careful and choose something normal and classic so that it go with every new style and design.

If you put up an intricate tile design, it may not stand the test of time and the look of your kitchen. So, don't be that picky with the backsplash, rather keep it moderate.

2. Thermofoil Low End Cabinet Fronts

The name might sound a bit complicated and out of the world, but this product is just vinyl which is nicely molded around the firewood. The main problem with this product is that, both in warm and moist environments, these cabinets start to crack in course of time. Not only crack, but they also peel off and discolor. It is much common for the thermofoil to get damaged easily and become shabby. Exactly like the cheap laminate, these cabinets are not easy to repair.

3. Vinly Flooring

Vinyl is a cheap material and you can get it in different finishes. Moreover, it is a petroleum resource that is not renewable. So if you look into it from the point of view of an environmentalist, it is an harmful material. If you install it in your home, then volatile chemicals will get released and cause asthma, respiratory problem and irritation in the eye.

It gets easy rips and tears. Moreover, in the sunlight, the pattern and color of the floor will fade away. You can never repair this material and it needs to be changed frequently.

4. Countertops of Plastic Laminates

These plastic laminate countertops are very cheap and you will get them in different finishes. But the problems that you face with these materials surplus the benefits. The common things that you use upon a countertop, like knives and hot utensils can ruin the material within no time. Once this plastic gets damaged, you cannot repair it anymore.

5. Flat Paint

When you think of painting your kitchen cabinet, always stay away from flat paint. It is a very delicate finish and not at all easy to clean. Moreover, if there are any scratches or fingerprints, it will show up on the paint.
